Ashley L. Malchow, PhD
Dr. Malchow is a licensed psychologist who has received extensive training and supervision in clinical and forensic psychology. She obtained her doctorate in clinical psychology from Sam Houston State University, a program that provides generalist, evidence-based training in clinical psychology in addition to specialized forensic training. She completed her internship at the Federal Medical Center in Fort Worth, a Federal Bureau of Prison’s facility. She also completed a year-long, intensive forensic postdoctoral fellowship at Price, Proctor & Associates in Dallas, Texas. She is experienced working in community settings, correctional facilities, and inpatient state hospitals.
Dr. Malchow is also an expert in Forensic Psychology. She has assessed defendants for competence to stand trial and sanity in jails and inpatient forensic hospitals. She has also conducted violence risk assessments in both inpatient and outpatient settings, assisted with sex offender risk assessments, mitigation cases, and with waiver of Miranda rights evaluations. She also is experienced conducting juvenile evaluations, including fitness to proceed and lack of responsibility, as well as variety of employment related evaluations.
